"I found Uniontown's "best kept secret" in jewelry stores when traveling to downtown Uniontown on several occasions, business and pleasure. I had recently purchased a 14K Pandora bracelet with 14K gold and silver charms and was having difficulty with the last charm on each side on the bracelet; each end charm continued to screw off of the bracelet every time I removed the bracelet from my wrist. I stopped into Abby's for the first time in the Fall of 2009 and was warmly greeted. When I explained my Pandora bracelet plight, angel immediately rectified the problem by indicating that I would need two separator charms on each side of the bracelet which locked all the charms on the bracelet. I was sold with the quality of care afforded to me by Abby's staff and the boutique atmosphere as well as the pricing.
Since that time, I have come to Abby's for a repair and I have purchased several semi-precious and precious jewelry pieces for myself and as gifts; this past holiday season, I was on my annual "search" to find the perfect gift for my beautiful Mother and found and purchased a black and white diamond pendant at Abby's. It was perfect and she adored it. (I also located and purchased diamond, in and out, large hoop earrings for myself that I had been looking for for months).
Abby's provides the ultimate boutique atmosphere for shopping, with a relaxed and friendly staff to assist with your questions without the high pressure sales pitches. I have and would recommend the "Abby's Experience" to all those looking for the right piece of jewelry for yourself or someone special. "Abby's is amazing! The customer service is outstanding, as the sales staff is knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and not pushy, as you find in many other jewelry stores. When purchasing a set of princess cut diamond earrings, the sales person actually told me that the smaller (cheaper) carat weight earrings I liked would be a great purchase -- especially because the setting of the earrings managed to make them look bigger. John, the owner, is outstandingly knowledgeable, incredibly accessible, and clearly loves what he does and does it well. He will also custom design pieces and try to accommodate your budget. Most importantly, if you visit Abby's you will notice that their pieces are unlike anything you have seen at a mediocre mall jewelry store. I am getting a (blue) sapphire ring and the sapphires I had to choose from came in a range of shades -- not just the traditional navy blue you see elsewhere. Some individuals may be turned off by higher prices (actually, I find Abby's to be quite affordable considering their selection and quality, and as I said, they are more than willing to work with your budget), but remember, you get what you pay for. Everything in the store is of exceptional, incomparable quality. If you want cheap, low-quality jewelry, go to the mall. If you want beautiful, well-crafted jewelry that you can cherish for a life time, go to Abby's. If you are not from Uniontown, Abby's is most definitely worth traveling to. You must visit this gem of a place :)"
